Tata Sky changes its name to Tata Play
Indian direct broadcast satellite service provider Tata Sky has rebranded itself as Tata Play. The new name of the company has been visible to the subscribers from today (January 27, 2022)
Tata Play is a joint venture between Tata Sons and The Walt Disney Company India with Temasek Holdings. The new company (Tata Play) will offer various OTT services including Netflix to its users. Earlier the OTT services were offered only on Tata Sky Binge and Netflix was not included in it. Now users can avail OTT platforms as well as normal TV channels in a single combo pack.

Tata Play subscribers will be able to access Netflix via 90 bundles, which includes linear channels as well as Binge combo packs. The Tata Play Netflix Combo packs will let you choose from Netflix’s Basic, Standard and Premium plans. So, instead of paying separately for Netflix, you just have to top up your Tata Play wallet as per the Tata Play Netflix Combo pack. Just recently, Netflix slashed its subscription price to ₹199 from ₹499.
